Teen Dad Seeks Pregnancy Resources
I'm 17 and my ex-girlfriend is pregnant. We broke up because she didn't want the baby and I do. She says that if I promise to take the baby with no expectations of her, she will have him. I still want to find out everything I can about my rights and what I can be doing to prepare. Are there pregnancy resources for single, teenage dads?

Amazon. com helps you to find best literature to fulfill your requirement such as: things dads need to know about, but which are usually considered more moms' domain (prenatal care, birth, breastfeeding, etc.), as well as special problems for young fathers, such as maintaining ties when the baby lives somewhere else with its mother. Nothing is covered in much depth, but the encouraging tone and informality of the text make the information easy to assimilate, and the inclusion of comments from teen dads will bring readers closer into the fatherhood fold. Look to Gravelle and Peterson's Teenage Fathers (1992) for the really penetrating insights into teenage fatherhood; turn to this book for the practicalities and general good sense it contains. To include photographs. Stephanie Zvirin --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Hello there daddy Wow, I admire you for standing up to your unborn child. Are there pregnancy resources for single teenage dads? Maybe there is none basically because it is not the teenage dad that will actually undergo the process. Any reliable pregnancy resource is applicable to you. About what you have to do to prepare - uhhhmmm During pregnancy a woman undergoes cycles and all that; which may affect her behaviors. Her man has to be all the more patient and steadfast through it all. It means, you have to be mature double or maybe even triple fast ahead your age to match the incoming responsibility of husbandry and fatherhood. You have to have that fighting spirit to withstand whims and leniency to understand unreasonable things which your girlfriend may resort to especially that she is not so much interested of the baby. Extend her the support she needs. I do not wish that you expect much but when a mother sees her baby, there is that emotional attachment to strong to be ignored. It can be that by the time she sees your baby, many things will change. It will help if she sees your genuine concern to both of them during the pregnancy period. One thing you have to consider is plan ahead on how to financially handle the enormous task. This thing you are into can be the most trying experience for you but it will be the most rewarding and fulfilling one also. Best regards.

There are pregnancy resources for EVERYONE! I commend you for accepting the responsibilities as a father. Your best bet would be to contact your local Social Services office and begin your hunt for resources there. On a legal stand point, look in your local phone book or online for lawyers that specialize in family court cases. Then spend the day calling around and explaining your situation and seeing if anyone can offer you help free or at low cost! Good luck!
