Can Pregnancy And Flying Mix?
|
I am a business executive for a major advertising corporation. Part of my job requires quite a bit of travel. I provide the quality work that my firm expects in every capacity as long as possible. Will there be a time when my pregnancy and flying aren't going to mix?

Wednesday 17th of March 2010 04:44:13 PM The doctor would usually advise you not to fly from 28 weeks. However even before then you need to find out from the airline you are using what their policy is regarding pregnancy to avoid them turning you away. Also try to avoid lon haul flights, but if you absolutely must you should make sure that you stay hydrated and walk in the aisles.

Monday 15th of March 2010 06:26:33 AM hello there, probably you can fly until you get close to give you birth, usualy 4 and 5 weeks before your due date you can still flying, the recomendation is valid coz as near of the time of give birth to you arrives, more easy to get into a labor you are, so is better stay close to home when the time is getting close. The flights does not work over the labor, just is impossible to know when is your birth time coming. Cheers.

Wednesday 17th of March 2010 07:41:21 AM Mostly in normal conditions doctors says that: Flying is usually perfectly safe during pregnancy, except during the latter half of the third trimester. Most airlines will not let you fly if you are more than about 34 weeks pregnant. Others will require you to carry a note from your physician indicating it is safe for you to fly. Be sure you check in with your airline prior to departure to avoid any unexpected delays. Toward the end of pregnancy, the air pressure changes that occur when flying may or may not induce some cramping. Most airlines would prefer if you not deliver your baby on board, hence the flying restrictions after about 34 weeks.
