I Think My Wife Has Pregnancy Depression.
|
My wife is 30 weeks along and I think she may have pregnancy depression. At first, she was over the moon about being pregnant and I couldn't slow her down for anything. Now, she seems withdrawn and she's hardly motivated to do anything. If I ask her how she is, she just says she's "fine" and changes the subject. If there is something wrong, I want her to get some help. Would I be overstepping my bounds if I contacted her doctor about possible pregnancy depression?

Sunday 7th of March 2010 10:44:10 PM I understand your situation and how you feel.. But as a husband you should do everything to know what is really happening to your wife. Talk to her nicely, and give her all the support that she needs. Maybe a doctor can also help your problem. Being pregnant is not just easy for women. Maybe she is suffering depression.

Friday 12th of March 2010 06:12:33 AM hi there, some women experienced the depressions during the pregnancy or after the pregnancy, the best advise I can give you is contact the doctor to check his idea about, depression is a serious thing and must be looked like one, so follow your idea and contact her doctor and explain how she have been behave lately, if he says to you all is ok, even better but at least you will have runned out a doubt. good lucky to you guys.
