My Morning Sickness Lasts All Day Long.
|
My morning sickness doesn't just happen when I wake up. I am miserable all day long. I can't eat anything without being sick. How long can I expect this "morning sickness" last?

Thursday 11th of March 2010 12:39:51 AM I can understand your plight, usually it is medically described that morning sickness lasts for the first three months, ie the 1st trimester. But in some females it is observed that morning sickness continues for 6 months or for nearly the entire pregnancy. You should eat several small meals throughout the day rather than large meals.

Thursday 4th of March 2010 05:16:25 PM It is usually common for women to experience most symptoms of nausea/vomiting(morning sickness) during 1st trimester and subsides thereafter. However, this is variable: not all women develop morning sickness, some get "afternoon" sickness. While, some women experience symptoms throughout the duration of pregnancy, others only develop it in the late trimesters. Independent of when the morning sickness occurs or how long it lasts, if it prevents you from eating or maintaing fluids..you must seek medical attention immediately because such problems can lead to malnutrition and dehyration in the mother and subsequently affect the health of the fetus.

Friday 12th of March 2010 04:16:34 AM the morning sickness does not necessary need to start at morning or only happens in that time as well. some of us women can have these symtoms at the time we awake, others start at the middle of the day. And about the time that it lasts, it is another personal thing as well, since all women bodies act different, so dont worry if your morning sickness last so long, you can try do things to avoid or make the symtoms get mild, like don't be with your stomach empty for so long, drink water or suck ice cubes, and you can ask your doctor what are the medications options that you can take when the symptoms appears, good lucky!!!
