Prenatal vitamins is both for the mother and the child. It's a multivitamins specially made for and drank by expectant mothers. It has a more vitamins and minerals like folic acid, iron and calcium. It's a multivitamins just the same but developed and created for pregnant mothers. If you are not, just stick with your regular multivitamins and when you get pregnant take the prenatal vitamins.

I guess they have some specific substances that will help you to conceive better. As I remember acid folic is one of them.so yeah, if you need to take some vitmins choose the prenatal vitamins instead of multivitamins. Prenatal are some vitamis specialy for pregnant women or women who prepare for getting pregnant.

Yes you are right. Before I was pregnant, our family doctor advised me to take vitamins so my body is ready to produce hormones good for fertilization usually I drank high in Folic Acid. The doctor recommended it because I am a modern woman and my body is stressed, it made me easier to get pregnant. Prenatal vitamins is high in folic acid intended to control your follicles so you easily get pregnant and when you are the babyfs development is better while multivitamins is only for normal people.

I believe the main difference is the amount of folic acid. In prenatal vitamins folic acid is available at the recommended level to help a developing baby. If you already have more folic acid in your system at time of conception this will help prevent any birth deficiencies. Multivitamins do not have this benefit

Prenatal vitamins have different combinations which are more suited to what is required during pregnancy. When a woman is not pregnant she requires a different dose of certain vitamins and minerals from when she is pregnant. This is why you must allow your doctor to prescribe the vitamins for you when you are pregnant and not take them on your own. Also certain combinations may not be safe for the fetus.

My advice is to not take any vitamin without first talking to your doctor, if you wishes to become pregnant. Vitamins contains many substances that do not know whether they are beneficial to the baby, although may be beneficial to our body. When pregnant we have many change into our system and into our body as well and the baby consumes everything we eat and drink. Is why the doctors to prescribe folic acid in pregnancy. Consult your doctor and see what is most beneficial for you and the baby who wants to have.

Pre-natal vitamins are specially made for women who plans to bear a child. So it's way better than multivitamins. Pre-natal vitamins will help you prepare your womb and body for a baby, unlike multi-vitamins that will just supply you with vitamins your body needs while as for pre-natal vitamins it will help your reproductive system build a better womb for your planned baby
