My Ob Says I'm Going To Have A Misscarriage.
|
I started bleeding and cramping and after some tests, my doctor says I'm going to have a misscarriage. He says that my 2 options are to let it happen naturally or to have a D&C. I don't know what to do. I'm so sad, I want to believe he's wrong, but I don't want to go through the pain of waiting either? How often are doctors wrong about predicting a misscarriage?

Thursday 11th of March 2010 12:26:06 AM have u done a USG which can ascertain miscarriage? What is the reason for miscarriage said by the doc is very important, try to find that out. It is advisable that you wait for it to happen naturally. Only if informed regarding any congential anomolies the child has then go for D & C.

Friday 5th of March 2010 04:43:16 AM Dear mother, I understand your sadness but it's not usual a OB miss a forecast that. If you do not feel confident with your doctor, seek a second opinion taking all the tests that you did and even order new tests to make a comparison. If the result remains the same, you have to question why, and from there find a way forward: a treatment for example.
