Playing Tennis During Pregnancy
|
I want to continue playing tennis during pregnancy. I've played for most of my life and I don't want to stop for 9 months (or more). If I take it easy and listen to my body, can I still play the sport that I love during pregnancy?

Friday 5th of March 2010 05:15:30 AM I played tennis also during my last trimester, and I gave birth to my son w/o any problem. Pregnant women are advised to have slight exercise during pregnancy, like walking and other easy workout..Exercises during pregnancy depends on the condition of the baby. you play your favorite sport but not like how you play when you're not pregnant yet. Listen to your body, it is you who is carrying it.

Sunday 7th of March 2010 06:44:10 PM You dont need to give up altogether, although you will need permission from your Dr to continue. A good sports bra and supportive shoes are a must, and as you approach your final trimester when you get really big, it isnt recommended as you are more likely to injure yourself as joints soften in preparation for birth.
