Fetal Heart Development Throughtout The Stages Of Pregnancy
I was born with a congenital heart defect and I was wondering about the progression of heart development throughout the different stages of pregnancy. My husband and I are starting to think about having children and I want to know as much about fetal heart development as I can. We are considering consulting a genetic counselor, but we want to do some research on our own first. Is there any way to decrease the chances of heart defect in our children? Are there measures that I can take during the different stages of pregnancy to prevent them?

if you have a history of heart disease, then you first consult with your doctor before conceiving or become pregnant. A female patient those have congenital heart disease has a higher risk of having a baby with some type of heart defect. in your case i must reccommend you to first consult / visit your doctor regularly keep update him/her about your condition, about your health or any abnormality pain you feels during your pregnancy so that he / she take good care of you self. You have to take diagnostic tests, that are like fetal ultrasound test. You'll also think about how you can care your child later. Here are some important things for any pregnant woman to do: Eat a nutritious diet. Don't smoke or drink alcohol. Have your doctor approve any medicine you use (including over-the-counter drugs). Some medicines that are safe to take when you're not pregnant should not be used when you're pregnant. They may harm your baby. If you have heart disease, you may need to take heart medications during your pregnancy. Your doctor can prescribe heart drugs that won't harm your baby.

Fetal heart development is a genetic issue, and if you have a problem and someone in your husband's side of the family does as well, there is a 1 in 4 chance your child will have too. You cannot prevent this from happening, but it is worth talking to a genetic counsellor to go over testing and all options

as far as my knowledge is concerned i am not welworth with any of the prevention measures of heart defect during your pregnancy. But one thing you can do that you have to take a special care of yourself during this period.that is you should take the prescribed medicines on time, have your meals regularly, and stay stress free as much as you can.
