Trying To Avoid Pregnancy Complications
|
After doing some reading, I am really worried about pregnancy complications. It seems like there are so many things that can go wrong. I know there are certain conditions that are out of my hands (like placenta previa) but are there ways to avoid other common pregnancy complications like gestational diabetes?

Saturday 6th of March 2010 06:47:54 PM you need to eat well, exercise safely, take prenatal vitmains and in general relax and stay happy. Avoid junk and sugary food as this can make you very sick and encourage diabetes. eat when hungry and eat lots of high fibre foods, fresh fruit and veg, and avoid sugary foods.

Thursday 4th of March 2010 07:03:09 AM The main factor of avoiding complications is a healthy diet and regular exercise. Gestational diabetes is not highly risky in pregnant women unless there is a history of diabetes in the family, or they are over weight. Depending on your risk level, your doctor may not test you. In any event you want to avoid high glucose foods and beverages. This keeps you healthy which gives your baby a better start!

Sunday 21st of March 2010 01:58:04 AM ARE YOU REFERRING TO PREGNANCY COMPLICATIONS IN GENERAL OR JUST ABOUT DIABETES? IF ITS JUST GESTATIONAL DIABETES PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS CAUSED BY SEVERAL FACTORS INCLUDING FAMILY HISTORY BEING OBESE, YOUR LIFE STYLE AND SEVERAL OTHERS. BUT JUST AS THEY SAY, WHEN YOU'RE PREGNANT THERE SHOULDN'T BE ANYTHING TO MAKE YOU SO STRESS WITHOUT ANY REAL REASONS AT ALL. THERE IS NOTHING THE DOCTOR CAN DETECT THAT CAN'T BE REMEDIED.

Tuesday 9th of March 2010 02:39:18 AM Yes, it is usually depends on an individual how he will carry her pregnancy. With my case, I had gestational diabetes. But, I was able to defete it through proper diet. I had more on vegestable and fruits for my food. Total discipline is necessary if you want a healthy pregnancy. Even drinking soft drinks and coffee and any other beverages with caffeine is not good.
