Effect Of Second-hand Smoke
I don’t smoke. However, there are people in my household and office who smoke a lot. No matter how hard I try, there is very little chance that I won’t be exposed to second-hand smoke in a day. Will this hurt my baby?

Second-hand smoke has an effect on everybody, pregnant or not. So it will also have effect on your baby. I would say it is very inconsiderate of the people in your household and in the office to expose you and your unborn baby to their smoke. I would be more proactive and ask the people involved to be more considerate about your situation and may be work on a space (outside!)where they can smoke without blowing it out all over you.

yes, it does.it depend on how long are you exposed into smoke.if you cn not voi this thing onyour work at least try to avoid it ho,e send all the people who moke outdoors ot stay far from them when they smoke. it is well known that the passive smoking is even worst then being a real smoker.

Yes, it will! It's pollution, notice that even people who don't smoke gets to have a lung related sickness? This is due to their exposure to second hand smoke and other type of smoke. If I were you try to avoid going out with people who smoke if you're at your office and at home try to just stay in a place where people in the house who smoke is not there.

Yes it might hurt your baby especially the brain. If you cannot avoid the 2nd hand smoke, you should carry yourself a hankerchief or a gas mask. You can demmand to the people to smoke in the proper smoking area because they are already destroying life for what they are doing. Don't go wherever they smoke, you should avoid 2nd hand smoke and even smoking yourself is worst you can do too.

Tobacco is a chemical that causes serious diseases. There are many articles from both magazine and newspapers, such as television programs in which to raise awareness about the consequences of smoking, passive smoking (the one who absorbs the smoke from the person who smokes) consumes 2 times more tobacco smoke than the smoker himself. My advice is to turn away more than the power of the environment by smokers or people who smoke, and if possible make them see that their smoke is bothering you and your baby.

Several studies were made about smokers and second hand smokers. Both of which are bad to our health. If adults are greatly affected resulting into lung cancers what more of the unborn baby. Their immune system is not that developed as compared to adult. So the chances to hurt your baby is more than you as an adult.

Passive smoking as second hand smoke is referred to is as dangerous as being a smoker yourself. It is essentail to protect your baby from the harmful effects of smoking and you could ask people to go out and smoke. It is actually no longer necessary to ask people to stop smoking as there is a law against smoking in public areas. So people should oblige you and listen to this rule especially when you are pregnant.
