Is Early Pregnancy Spotting Unusual?
My mom told me that in early pregnancy spotting is normal. I have had some light pink spotting off and on for a couple days. I didn't think that there was supposed to be any bleeding. Is early pregnancy spotting unusual, when should I be concerned?

Spotting can occur in the early days, and unless it is accompanied by pain anywhere in the pelvis, you have little to worry about. Sometimes the spotting turns into a bleed, in which case you should see your Dr straight away. If the spotting lasts more than a week, also see your Dr to rule out anything suspicious.

No, spotting during early pregnancy is not normal I think you should let your doctor know about your situation. Don't wait until it gets serious, remember that you have a tiny life inside you..The earlier it is cured the better. Doctors have their way of knowing what is really happening to you and the baby. Don't just listen to somebody's opinion, go to the doctor this early.

Yes, spotting is unusual. As per my experience, i had simple spotting, too. I immediately consult my ob gyne, and as per her it was sub chronic hemmmoriage. Better i have consulted her immediately or else if it continue my baby inside the womb will be poisoned of this blood. I suggets you consult your ob gyne, during pregnancy it is very necessary to always consult your doctor for any simple reactions of your body.

YOUR MOM IS RIGHT. IT IS NORMAL DURING PREGNANCY BECAUSE OF THE MUCOUS MEMBRANE AROUND THE UTERUS CALLED ENDOMETRIUM. IT PRODUCES RED BLOOD SO IF THE SPOT IS RED YOU NEED TO BE ALARMED AND GET ON IMMEDIATELY TO YOUR DOCTOR. HOWEVER, WHEN THE SPOTTING IS PINK OR BROWN THIS IS JUST NORMAL. JUST THE SAME CASES LIKE THESE SHOULD BE RELAYED TO YOUR OBSTETRICIAN.
