Friday 5th of March 2010 04:13:40 AM I think that can be resolved. You doctor might be correct, but there are lots of medicines for urine infections. I suffered urine infections but I still got pregnant and it did not affect my pregnancy, especially the baby. Why don't you get a second opinion from another doctor.

Thursday 25th of February 2010 07:13:48 PM Infections are caused by bacteria multiplying in your body. Always be extra clean when you have sex - shower before and after and clean yourself properly after using the toilet. Your husband should wash his hands and privates before sex to avoid passing bad bacteria to you. As for pregnancy, you should discuss all courses of action with your Dr.

Tuesday 9th of March 2010 09:54:43 PM I am not a doctor but had urine infection before and I had 3 healthy babies. Your doctor may probably correct but if you are not confident as to what he is saying, might as well go to a specialist to have your and your husband's urine both at the same time. At least the specialist will explain to you the real cause or if curable, he might suggest something that will get you pregnant eventually. Try for a second opinion.

Friday 5th of March 2010 11:03:58 AM It depends on your body reaction. Honestly, we are in the same case, me too always having urine infections after marriage. What I did was, I took second opinions and find options to look for a better ob gyne. Then, finally I found one. She took care of me by monthly monitoring check up, since I have hormonal imbalance, too. And, as per my ob gyne it will be difficult for me to bear a baby because all the hindrances for having a baby is present with me such as I have retroverted ovary, hormonal imbalance, POS (poly cystic ovary syndrome. But guess what? I gave birth to a healthy baby boy. What I mean by this is you must never loose hope, always seek advise from your doctor on what to do and be open to him/her about any situation about your body. Usually they know what to do to let you bear pregnancy.
