As uncomfortable as this is, due to a bevy of factors, constipation is a normal part of pregnancy. Since you are only going once every three weeks, you need to get to your physician to talk about ways to get regular again. Defecating is the bodies way of getting rid of toxins so you want to be sure to find ways to defecate on a regular basis.

Yes it is normal especially if you are taking iron supplement which is a must for pregnant women. But you can handle your constipation by drinking lots of water, eating more fruits and vegetables, drinking milk at least once a day, and you may take psyllium fibre which you may add to your drinks. It is safe for pregnant women as long as taken as prescribed.

IT IS BECAUSE OF THE HORMONE PROGESTERONE LEVEL THAT PREGNANT WOMEN OFTEN HAS. WHAT YOU CAN DO IS EAT A LOT OF FOOD RICH IN FIBER, FRUITS AND LEAFY VEGETABLES AND LOTS AND LOT OF WATER. ON YOUR NEXT VISIT TO YOUR DOCTOR YOU MIGHT WANT TO ASK HER FOR ANY FIBER SUPPLEMENT THAT YOU CAN TAKE OR LESS IRON VITAMINS.

it is normal during pregnancy but it is not an wanted thing to happen. When you are constipated you need to push more harder then usual and that affects your pregnancy.you could start your contractions with those pushes, or some rupture inside your uterous. For normal 'delivery' drink every morning, on your empty stomach a mouth of olive oil, those will help you to have a normal one.

Constipation in pregnancy is caused by hormones that slow down the transit of waste in the bowel. You should be drinking 2 litres of water a day, eating lots of fruit, veg and high fibre breads and cereals to get things moving. If it gets really bad, soak a handful of dried apricots in orange juice overnight and have on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. Your Dr can prescribe laxatives if things don't improve. Do not strain on the toilet as you will get piles.
