Early Pregnancy Symptoms
I am 2 weeks late for my period. I took a home pregnancy test and it was positive. I have not been experiencing any of the "usual" pregnancy symptoms such as morning sickness, cravings or breast tenderness. I have had some slight cramping. They feel like menstrual cramps. My first OB appointment isn't for another two weeks. Is this lack of symptoms normal? Should I be worried about a miscarriage?

Every woman reacts different to a pregnancy. Some women don't feel anything and do not even feel pregnant until the baby starts to grow and it becomes visible in the way your tummy starts to bulge. Other women experience all pregnancy symptoms at the same time. In my first pregnancy I was very worried as I had a miscarriage a few months before so I felt every little cramp and constantly checked my breasts to see if they were still tender...This time around I am less worried and probably have too much to do with a 2 year old running around. But that is my case, if you really do not feel comfortable then just make an appointment with your GP he will be the best one to help you answer your questions.

You don't feel anything for couple of weeks even. breast become arder and painful only from 3th week, the mrning seek(if there is one)appears only after couple of weeks too, 2-3 weeks of pregnancy. And the cramps are the symptoms that the baby is sticking in.I had too such cramps and even pains, I have asked the doctor and he told me that the cramps appear when the baby is sticking great on uterus. So don't worry about miscarriage , you are perfect.

It is quite normal to have no symptoms at all till quite some time. I had none of the "usual" symptoms as they say. You can get the cramps part checked up though. But I would advise you one thing very strongly and that is "DO NOT STRESS". Stress can be very detrimental at any stage of your pregnancy. Keep your mind away from any negative thoughts as such thoughts command your body to act likewise. You have entered a very beautiful phase in your life. Let it be so. Dont ignore any symptom, but believe in yourself that your baby "is absolutely fine" and he/she will be. All the best.

Sometimes symptoms do not appear until the 3rd month of pregnancy and if this is the case with you, you will have to wait until you have your first OB appointment. No this does not mean you are about to have a miscarriage. Often early pregnancy symptoms are very much like menstrual cramps.

I don't think you have anything to be concerned about as far as the lack of symptoms. Morning sickness may take a little longer than that to appear, or you may even have no morning sickness. All of the symptoms you mentioned vary in degree from person to person. Some people don't even notice their 'morning sickness', while others cannot function normally. I am sure your OB will confirm that everything is fine.

Lack of symptoms is quite normal in the first trimester. I didn't feel pregnant till about 4 months! So, don't worry, cramping is also normal...unless you notice something really abnormal like blood stains etc...When you go for your scheduled OB appointment and get an ultrasound done so that you know everything is normal. As of now, I think its completely normal.
