Sunday 7th of March 2010 12:39:04 AM A pregnant woman must have a lot of calcium, vitamin c, folic acid and various others. But buying over the counter medicine is sometimes not for you. You need a check up from your obstetrician before anything else. It's not a simple writing a list here as we don't know you current physical condition.

Monday 22nd of February 2010 07:24:08 PM You should be taking folic acid for definite and this can be prescribed by your Dr. As for vitamins off the shelf, Pregnacare and Sanatogen Pronatal are two very good brands, although you cannot take these with prescibed folic acid, as they already contain it. Prenatal vitamins help ensure your baby has all the correct nutrients it needs for healthy brain and neural tube development and helps prevent serious illnesses such as spina bifida.

Wednesday 3rd of March 2010 03:34:20 PM Taking vitamin is very important but you need to consult the doctor.Do not take some vitamins without asking your doctor.ou could harm your baby.
Not all vitamins are suitable for the stage you are now. Some supplements need to be taken in the end of the pregnancy, never at the beginning, so the doctor should prescribe those vitamins in the quantity and number that your body need.maybe you do not need any vitamins.Just eat a lot of fruits and fresh vegetables and you won't need any supplements.

Monday 1st of March 2010 05:23:50 PM There are lots of different vitamins available for use while pregnant. There is very little difference between them. Look for vitamins labeled "Prenatal vitamins." Check to make sure it has a significant amount of folic acid and calcium. These are elements that are very needful during pregnancy.
