Wednesday 3rd of March 2010 03:30:02 PM You need to check yourself , meaning you have to do some analysis, blood tests to see if you are completely healthy, and there are not some serious diseases like toxoplasmosis which can really affect your child, and the pregnancy.
As about dieting it is not something necessary, only if you are overweight and need to lose weight a little. In pregnancy most of women tend to increase their volume.
good luck!

Monday 22nd of February 2010 07:16:22 PM You should be fit and healthy - both of you! Start taking prenatal vitamins, and get your weight down to the correct weight for your height. Diet should include lots of fresh fruit, veg and wholegrains, and you should cut out alcohol, smoking, caffiene and drugs. You should do all this at least three months before planning a baby. See your Dr who will advise on anything else that you need to know.

Sunday 7th of March 2010 12:24:22 AM Several but most and foremost is to improve your current diet.A well balanced diet gives you the chance of having a healthy baby. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, food rich in calcium, food rich in vitamin C,E, zinc and most important is the folic acid. And avoid drinking alcohol that includes wine and champagne.

Monday 1st of March 2010 02:19:06 AM Of course you must follow a healthy diet and lifestyle. Drink multivitamins, especially those with Iron and Calcium because you would be needing much of that when you get pregnant. Try to exercise as much as you can to make your abdominal muscles stronger so you can avoid possible risks of hernia and tearing of muscles. There is also what you call the kegels, where you would exercise the vaginal muscles so you can be prepared for carrying your baby in your womb which could bring much weigh on your lower extremities. It also aids in stronger vaginal muscles once you start pushing for baby to come out.

Monday 1st of March 2010 05:20:31 PM There are many questions you need to ask yourself before planning to get pregnant. Are you generally healthy? Do you have a drinking or smoking habit? Do you get regular exercise? Are you overweight, and if so by how much? Answers to this question will determine how easy or difficult your pregnancy will be and how healthy your baby will be. If you are generally healthy, consider increasing your folic acid intake. This is an important mineral in fetal development.
