Heartburn
I am starting to get painful heartburn almost every day. I've noticed that it is especially bad when I eat things with tomato sauce, but I am craving things like spaghetti and pizza on a regular basis. I've read that women often crave things that their bodies feel they need. Should I eat these things anyway?

Heartburn is just a normal part of pregnancy. It's the gastric acid that goes back to your esophagus. To avoid this discomfort avoid eating food like carbonated drinks, caffeine, specially citrus foods, spicy foods and others. Your craving for spaghetti, pizza are major cause of heartburn.

Yes you should. Heartburn is one of the few undesirable side effects of pregnancy that is difficult to get rid of and is caused by your baby pressing your stomach up. The muscles on your stomach don't close properly allowing some stomach acid to move back up your food pipe causing the awful burning pain. You should avoid spicy and tarte foods or foods that are acidic (the tomatoes!) but it doesn't mean you shouldn't eat these things. Your Ob can prescibe you with Gaviscon or peptac liquid, and eating little and often and drinking milk seems to help.

If eating these things is causing you to have heartburn, you should stop eating them. Even though your body is craving them the heartburn is from your body producing to much acid. This could be harmful to the baby. Try eating the spaghetti with Alfredo sauce and the pizza with half the sauce. Drink lots of milk to counter the acid or eat plenty of yogurt.

If the heartburn is unbearable, then it's usually suggested to avoid the foods that are causing the discomfort. If you don't want to cut these foods out all together, then the best thing to do is to reduce your intake, and drink a glass of milk while consuming such foods. Milk has been known to coat the stomach, aiding in cutting down on or reducing the pain and agony of heartburn.

yes it is true women are craving for things that the body feel it is missing, but mostly of the time those things make more harm then good things. I was experienced some similar situation like after I was eating fruits I had so painful heartburn that I need to woke in the middle of the night and eat some biscuits.Biscuits were my medicine. try them eventually.
