How Can I Be A Better Father?

I am a proud papa of a 2 month old little boy and want to get off on the right foot. I am not sure how to be a dad really, however, because right now my wife breastfeeds him and soothes him when he's crying. All I can do is hold my son now and again when my wife needs a break. I would like to be more involved. How can I be a better father to my baby boy?
