Saturday 20th of February 2010 07:52:39 AM Feeling down is a normal part of pregnancy as reality sets in about how you will cope with a baby and your financial aspects as well. There are also emotional issues involved, and apart from raging hormones, there is also the feeling of dread of the impending birth! Talk to your ob about any issues or concerns and have agood support network - friends and family should be a big help to talk to, but don't suffer in silence.

Monday 1st of March 2010 04:27:39 PM When you are pregnant you naturally go through HUGE mood swings, mainly due to HUGE hormonal changes. If you typically suffer from mood swings from PMS, you can probably expect some of this to carry over to your pregnancy. Also, if you have a lot of stress in your life that can lead to depression, especially when you're pregnant.

Monday 1st of March 2010 07:18:19 PM I'm going to need a little more information from you before I caan answer this question fully. Was this a planned pregnancy? Is the father involved? What is your financial situation? Until I can get the answers to these and several more questions, I can't really give you an off the cuff answer. My advice is to talk to your OB about these feelings. There are antidepressants that are safe to use during pregnancy, but ultimately getting to the bottom of the feelings will make your treatment much more effective. I'm not sure this is correct protocol, but you can reach me at bearfoot.hippiechick@yahoo.com. If you need someone to talk to, I can do that. Just take care of yourself, and if you feel this sadness coming on, go do something that you enjoy, talk to a friend, go for a walk, somehing like that; but you have got to talk to your doctor about this.

Tuesday 2nd of March 2010 04:19:59 PM yes, the sadness and depression could be stronger in the first semester of the pregnancy.
it is something normal, but if affects you hardly please ask for the doctor help.
he can help you by prescribing some specific medicines, so your baby it won;t be affect.
remember that if you are sad your baby will receive this information and could be a sad kid .And I am sure you don't want this thing to happen.

Saturday 6th of March 2010 09:29:28 PM In the first place why are you sad? Is there a problem from your parents, your husband or anybody related to you that causes sadness? Or are you confused and scared as to what will happen to you and the baby once you deliver? Actually, pregnancy is one big circle of fun, sadness, confuse, scariness, irritation, madness and many more.
