How Can I Give My Breastfed Baby A Bottle?
|
I have a 6 month old boy and in a few weeks my maternity leave will be running out. Up until now, he has been exclusively breast fed and every time I try and give him the bottle he refuses. I am getting worried! How can I give my breastfed baby a bottle?

Thursday 29th of April 2010 01:59:25 PM I went through this same thing and don't worry you will eventually get the baby to take the bottle. You should slowly introduce the bottle to him. The baby will have to get use to the bottle just like he got use to your nipple. My doctor told me to put a little sugar on the end of the nipple and it worked for me.

Debbie Friday 7th of January 2011 12:14:52 PM I would have someone else give him a bottle, he probably can smell the breast milk scent. Babies often take the bottle better from someone thats not mom. Dont worry to much and good luck!
