After being a single mom for over nine years, I have finally found the right person to marry! I am wondering how my new husband can adopt my son?

There is a way that your new husband can adopt your son. The first way is to get the boys father to sign away his rights. If there was no custody agreement in place and he has not seen the boy or tried to make any contact in one year you can file abandonment. After you do this then he can adopt your son. Good Luck!
