Is This After-school Care Typical In Price?
|
I have two boys and eldest will be entering kindergarten next year. The school has an after-school program which seems to be a glorified study hall but costs on the order of $360 a week. For an entier year of after school care that's about $14,000 or about half my salary. Once both kids are in school, this will double making it impossible for me to make rent. I am wondering, is this price above average? How much do you pay for after school care?

Thursday 29th of April 2010 02:08:06 PM Yes, this price is very high but unfortunately these school or ,high priced day cares, can charge whatever fee they would like. I would recommend running an ad in your local newspaper for an after school nanny. You can usually find someone to help out for a couple of hours after school for about $100.00 per week for both children. Just make sure you do a background check and you might want to invest around $100.00 and get a nanny cam installed in your home.
