Is Painting Safe
I have collected all of the things that I want for my baby's nursery. I am anxious to begin decorating but I'm not sure if it is safe for me to paint. Are the fumes bad for me and my baby? Should I just have someone else do the painting for me?

Painting is fine as long as you use non-toxic paint. If you do find the fumes too much, get someone to help you. You can buy specialist paint from your local hardware store, but it is expensive. Keep the work area well ventillated and open windows. Any shortness of breath should mean stopping and going to your Dr.

From my reasearch, due to their low volatility, latex paints or water based paints have shown to pose little to no increased risk to mother and baby. Before you do paint, enlist the help of an home improvement store associate in finding eco-friendly, low or no VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) fumes, and discuss your decision with your physician.

There are no odor paints and suitable for painting the bedrooms of children. Head over to a paint store and seek advice from the shopkeeper.

I guess it is not the thing for you to do right now, but if you really want to do it at least protect your face with a mask and so you keep your breath in safe. The toxic substances from the paint are dangerous for the baby. In some times this could induce delivery , a thing that I am sure you do not want to happen.

In general paint fumes is bad for anyone's health as the pigments has lead, aluminum and zinc. However there are kind of paint that may be safe such as the acrylic paint. It's considered safe around pregnant woman as well as babies just as long as the area is ventilated enough. However, if the fumes makes you dizzy, out of the area and let someone finish the work for you.
