Are Hand-eye Coordination Problems In Children Treatable?

Are hand-eye coordination problems in children treatable? My son is 5 and still can’t colour inside the drawing. His teacher has suggested an eye-test and a detailed examination of his hand-eye coordination. I have also noticed that he can’t catch the ball but I kept thinking he’s still young. Could something be wrong with his vision?
