Is Excessive Crying A Sign Of A Mental Disorder?
|
My 9 month old baby cries endlessly. I can’t figure out a reason. She has been like this since she was born. She cries for 4-5 hours at a stretch. She doesn’t have any other symptoms that could be bothering her. My doctors won’t take it seriously. They keep telling me she’ll grow out of it but it’s been 9 months and she hasn’t. Can it be some sort of a mental disorder that is causing her to cry?

Thursday 22nd of April 2010 04:21:23 AM No. Please bear in mind that there are several reason why babies cry. I suggest you read books about taking care babies. Otherwise, you browse in the net about guidelines why they cry for no reason at all. Sometimes baby cries because they are not comfortable with the place or area. There is something bother them about, like stomach gas pain or are hungry. As a mother, you must know the needs of your baby even she can't speak yet. In the long run you will be aware of that.
