Do All Hospitals Check For Congenital Hypothyroidism As Part Of A Routine Check?
The hospital I am due to deliver in has informed me that they perform a routine blood test on newborn babies to check for any abnormalities particularly congenital hypothyroidism. I don’t want to prick my baby unnecessarily. Are there any risks to the baby following this blood test or is perfectly safe to have it done?
