Does Diabetes In Pregnant Women Lead To Heart Disorders In Babies?

I am 16 weeks pregnant and my doctor has referred me for a foetal echocardiogram. She feels it’s worth checking the babies heart because she wasn’t very happy with the babies heartbeat in the last 2 ultrasounds. Does my diabetes have anything to do with this?
