Does Pain In A Child’s Legs Signify A Muscular Disorder Of Some Sort?

My 2 year old son complains of pain in his leg in the night. He wakes up crying and cannot be settled unless I give him some Panadol. He can’t exactly point to where it hurts but he says his whole leg hurts? What could this be?
