If A Carer Hurts Themselves While At Work Is The Centre Supposed To Bear The Cost?
I own a day-care facility and have 8-9 carers working at the centre. I have only started out 2 months back and still have a few unanswered questions. If a carer hurts herself while at work either due to a slip or fall is the centre held responsible for it? Am I liable to cover her medical costs?

If an incident happens at work, unless the worker has signed a contract releasing the facility of being liable, yes, you would be responsible. You may also have to pay workman's compensation, depending on how severe the injury is. If your facility is licensed and bonded, that will protect your business in the event of an injury at work.
