Nasal Congestion
I have been trying to treat a nasty case of nasal congestion for 2 weeks. A friend just told me that when she was pregnant, she was congested for months. Can pregnancy cause nasal congestion? Is there anything I can do to get some relief?

Nasal congestion and allergies are more common in pregnancy. Apart from nasal sprays, there is little you can do as taking anti-histamines during pregnancy is not allowed. Try steaming your nose when it gets really bad. Using lymphatic drainage also helps - firmly press from your inner eye area down along your nose to the corners of your nostrils. Do this several times firmly but gently and this should help alleviate some congestion. If it really gets bad, see your Dr.

try to make some salty water lavage into your nose.if you have some naggy infection it will treat it, if not there is nothing to ruin or to break. I did not have symptoms, but every pregnancy is different has some similarities but definitely a lot of differences. You can ask your doctor too! he should know some things much better then i do!

In my opinion I think you should know if you suffer from sinusitis or some type of allergy that causes this symptom. Being positive I think I should consult your doctor, but nowadays there are several nasal sprays based on salt to help in relieving nasal, or you can make it in house, in a small saucepan of boiling water put 1 teaspoon full of salt and allow to dissolve. When washing the nostrils cool inside without swallowing water with salt. It is advisable to walk together with a Kleenex.

Pregnancy will not in any way cause nasal congestion. Your hormones may be fluctuating and changing every moment but it will not lead to nasal congestion. You may try using salinase which is a salt solution. Put at least 4 drops on each nostrils. It provides instant relief. There are also spray salinase that you may buy in drug stores.

Pregnancy Rhinitis, and that it occur commonly in the first three months of pregnancy. Yes, there are a lot of ways to help relieve you but that should come from your doctor. Your doctor may opt to use nasal saline wash, antihistamine and oral decongestants. All these should be under your doctor’s supervision so don’t do anything unless you are told and a prescription is handed on
