My Son Has Muscular Dystrophy, What Do I Do?
When my son was born, he was sent to the NICU because he wasn't breathing well on his own. The doctor told me that he was concerned that my son was presenting symptoms of muscular dystrophy. He had trouble breathing and his joints seemed to be very stiff. After some tests, the doctor determined that my son has CMD. Everything he said after that is a blur now. I'm so overwhelmed. We have an appointment with a specialist in 2 days, but where do we go from there?
