Is It Normal To Mix Up Syllables On A Regular Basis?
My 5-year-old son has a habit of mixing up syllables when he's talking. For example, yesterday we were decorating for his sister's birthday party. He kept calling it a birthparty day. Or he'll say, ephalant instead of elephant. Sanderwich for sandwich. My daughter never spoke this way. Is this a normal kid thing or should I be seeking some sort of medical or therapeutic help?
