How Much Bleeding Is Too Much Postpartum?

My son is 5 days old and I am still bleeding quite a bit. I have been cleaning my self up regularly, but it seems a little unnatural to me how much I'm still bleeding. When should I contact my doctor about excessive bleeding postpartum?
