Usually on this stage we will find difficulty in oral hygiene. I had same experience too with my son, even at his age now, three years old, it is still difficult to brush his teeth. You can buy toothpaste not so minty for them. You can buy edible or herbal toothpaste wherein it is still okey if they have swallowed it. In my experienced it takes 30 minutes to one hour in brushing the teeth, because it so difficult to chase him that way. What I did was I design an role playing for his stuffed toys. And if his annoyed with this game already. I had story about duel of toothbrush vs. tounge. He enjoyed it very much as well as clean his tounge and teeth too.
