Should I Feed My Baby Before I Go To The Restaurant?

I have a 6 month old baby. My husband and I are attending a birthday dinner for my grandmother so we don't want to leave our son with a baby sitter. This will be the first time we take him to a restaurant. In the interest of good behavior is it better to feed him while we are there or before we leave?
