Are There Self-soothing Techniques That Don't Involve "crying It Out"?
I can't stand to just listen to my baby cry. In my opinion it is cruel. It is stressful for both my son and me. On the other hand, I don't want him to always be dependent on me for every little thing and not learn coping skills. Are there any self-soothing techniques that I can you that don't involve "crying it out"?

Just treat your baby not like a baby. Like with my son, even when he was one year old, I used to talked to him like a grown up man, all the basic things in life, food, feeding bottle, formula milk, etc.all about them. Now that he is 3 years old he seems old enought to know some simple things about life. You may try, too.
