How Do Toys Play Into A Child's Development?

My son is 6 months old now. He is starting to sit on his own and its time to pick out some good toys for him to play with. I want to choose toys that really help my baby not just entertain him. How do toys play into a child's development?

Toys play a lot of development in the baby. As a proven experience, my son has a pillow dog since birth, and now that he si three years old, he is still using it. And his love for the dog never ends even though he was bitten by a puppy. And guess what, that puppy was street dog, that he told us to care and give food. Toys also let them carries their imaginations and dreams. Just provide a good toys for them.
