Should I Buy Dolls And Kitchen Toys For My Son?
|
I like to consider myself to be a well-rounded, open-minded father and I want the same for my son. I've been giving a lot of thought to gender specific toys, and while I'm in no hurry to run out and buy my son a barbie doll, I am considering getting a kitchen set and a couple simple dolls for him to play house with. Would it be harmful to him in any way to offer him choices like dolls and kitchen sets?

Friday 12th of March 2010 06:53:17 AM No, it would not be harmful for him to offer those things. In this way you are givng choices to him for their freedom to choose and express himself. It depends on their imagination on how they are going to play with it. If they choose those dolls and kitchen sets just observe them on how they play on it. But oh gosh! I let my son choose also those toys for girs, but he told me he is not a girl. Maybe your son will answer that, too.
