Tuesday 23rd of February 2010 03:55:08 AM You can definately have sex during pregnancy right up to birth in fact. Most women don't of course find penetration very comfortable though. Also if you do have intercourse it is best for the woman to be on top or the man to be behind. When you approach your due date doctors may even recommend penetration because the prostoglandins in semen is known to soften the cervix and encourage dilation so may be a natural way to induce labour in the third trimester. The main things to be aware of is that if you see any blood after to intercourse to rather avoid penetration. AS far as oral sex is concerned, assuming you are referring to swallowing, I don't think there would be any harm to your baby as semen does not contain any harmful substances and it's not like it goes directly to the baby as anything you injest is digested first.

Saturday 27th of February 2010 10:27:39 PM Sex is safe in all stages of pregnancy. The only problem is the possible decrease in sex drive in pregnant women because of changes in hormone levels.
Oral sex is also safe. However, there is a risk for air embolism, which is a rare life-threatening complication. This is caused by air entering the vagina and blocking blood vessels.
A man should be careful in giving oral sex to his pregnant wife.

Thursday 18th of February 2010 05:25:10 PM Sex is perfectly safe during pregnancy, although in late pregnancy it can become awkward as it is hard to get into a comfortable position. Try different positions - spoons and you on top is always gentler and easier. There aren't really any risk factors with oral - but hygiene is essential - make sure your partner is clean as germs can easily be transferred internally, and infections are more likely. The baby is unlikely to be harmed as you have a cervical plug that prevents infections travelling to your unborn child.

Sunday 21st of February 2010 04:24:09 PM You can do sex until the 8th month, after it could be dangerous because you risk to open the cervix and to induce labor.

Saturday 6th of March 2010 04:29:05 AM There is nothing wrong having sex during pregnancy and no risk for the baby. What is important is that you have the most comfortable position while doing it. Also, just be aware that orgasm sometimes are associated with contraction. Just make sure that it is the orgasm and not the water. You'll see the difference anyway.
