What Is The Earliest That I Can Start Solid Foods?

My son is 4 months old and he stares at food when we're having meals. I think he may be wanting to eat some solid foods. When is the earliest that I can start solid foods?

Sunday 28th of February 2010 11:29:17 PM While the only food required to nourish your child for 6 months is breastmilk, some babies actually show signs of interest as early as 4 months of age.
In the event your child is nursing or being bottlefed constantly at 4 to 5 months but does not seem to be satisfied, then starting him or her on solid foods at this age is definitely a viable option.
Check with your child's peditrician first.
