Can I Make Homemade Baby Cereal?
|
With my daughter I made nearly all of her fruit and vegetable baby foods myself. Now that my son is getting ready to start solid foods I'm thinking about making everything myself. Is there a way to make homemade baby cereal?

Sunday 28th of February 2010 09:09:04 AM A good way to make homemade cereal is to use ground oats, not instant, and different types of fruit. One such recipe is to peel and core an apple, then dice it up. Put it in a sauce pan with 1/4 cup of ground oats and 3/4 cup of water. Once the apples are softened and the oats are cooked, mash the mixture up with formula or breast milk. If you've introduced your baby to apple juice yet you can use apple juice instead of water when cooking it.
