Is A Nursery Center A Good Investment?

My husband is having so much fun shopping for our baby, I'm not sure that he is thinking through the necessity of all of his purchases. We already have a bassinet, crib, play pen and changing table. With all of the items we already have, is a nursery center a good investment?
