Should I Take Him For Test Swim First?

I am thinking about enrolling my son in swimming lessons. He's never been in a pool before and I'm nervous that he won't like it. The lessons have to be pre-paid for 4 weeks at a time and I don't want to waste my money if he doesn't like it. Should I take him on a test swim before I make the investment?
