My Daughters Doctor Says She Shouldn't Swim Until She's 4.

There are a couple places in my area that offer swim lessons for babies. I was considering signing my daughter up for a class, but her pediatrician said she shouldn't start swimming until she is 4. Why would he want us to wait so long to start her in swimming lessons?
