I Fell On My Stomach
|
I fell down on my stomach this morning. I am 18 weeks along. At first I didn't feel anything but now my stomach feels tight and I've been having waves of nausea. Should I go the to the emergency room or call my doctor?

Thursday 18th of February 2010 04:22:16 PM You should go to the emergency room straight away. The amniotic sac around the baby is enough to cushion blows, but to an extent, and a fall should definitely not make you sick or affect your stomach in any way. Err on the side of caution and see someone as soon as you can. If things get very bad, call a paramedic.

Sunday 21st of February 2010 04:06:30 PM Yes you are right, it is better to consult a doctor on this matter. It is not very normal that the nausea and the sickness to appear now after 4 months of pregnancy.
usually they are in the first 3 months and then disappear.
My guess is that you have eaten something that hurt your stomach.
So, a doctor is in need now!

Monday 22nd of February 2010 04:05:11 AM It is always a good idea to see your doctor if you have any concerns. If you cannot get an appointment relatively soon with your doctor, perhaps it would be better to just go to the emergency room so that they can make sure everything is alright. If you feel like there is something wrong - then listen to your instincts, and have a doctor see you.

Thursday 4th of March 2010 03:58:57 AM Go, go now to the emergency room and have the nurse call your doctor. You should have done this soon as it happen. You'll never know whether there is damage caused or it didn't bother the baby at all. But with what you are saying, this need medical attention asap.

Tuesday 23rd of February 2010 03:41:59 AM First call your doctor to decsribe what you are felling and even try to get an emergency appointment. Follow the doctor's advice, but also trust your instincts. If you are really concerned and stressed about it, it's probably best to go to the emergency room to have yourself checked out. It's always better to be safe than sorry.
