What Is Postpartum Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?

My baby's birth was incredibly hard. I was in labor for 70 hours and when my son was born he got stuck and had to be pulled out with forceps. He had to be revived at birth and I had a lot of tearing and needed a blood transfusion. He is okay now, but I am having trouble functioning day to day. My doctor says I may have postpartum post traumatic stress disorder, and has referred me to a therapist for evaluation and treatment. I was so embarrassed I couldn't bring myself to even ask any questions. What is postpartum post traumatic stress disorder and how is it treated?
