How Does Reading To My Baby Benefit Her?
My daughter is 2 months old. I've heard that I should read to her, but I feel silly because I know that she doesn't understand what I'm saying. How does reading to her at such a young age benefit her and does it matter what I read?

Yes, it matter most what you read. Even a baby still inside the womb, he can hear you clearly. Let me share to you my personal experience about reading. When I got pregnant, I made a habit of reading aloud to my three year old son now. We listen music together, one headphone is on my ears and the other on my stomach. And guessed what, all the things that we used to listen together when I was still pregnant were his favorites music until now. Likewise, he has attitude of reading books at early age. There was an instant that we have our vacation to my mother in law, he went to thier room to look for a book.

By reading stories to your baby, you are already stimulating her ears as well as her brain. The more you stimulate her, the more her brain would develop. Early introduction of books and reading can instill in your child the love for books and reading. You may even accompany your reading with music to make things livelier.
